Accreditation

Educational accreditation is a type of quality assurance process under which services and operations of educational institutions or programs are evaluated by an external body to determine if applicable standards are met in order to merit accreditation. In Thailand, all International Schools are required by the Thailand’s Ministry of Education to obtain both local quality assurance as well as an overseas accreditation.

 Local and Overseas Accreditation

TRIS has also been accredited by Thailand’s Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA) since the first year of the School’s operation. ONESQA is an academic body specializing in educational quality evaluation. It has the objective of enhancing the quality of the education provision system in Thailand, requiring educational institutions to provide quality instruction to learners, with the goal of endowing students with virtue, competence and happiness.

Since the beginning of the School, TRIS has worked with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) to earn external overseas accreditation. WASC is the leading accreditation body for schools and colleges in the United States, responsible for determining accreditation for independent schools and universities in the western region of the United States as well as in Asia and Southeast Asia.

WASC granted accreditation to TRIS in 2008, allowing our students to enjoy excellent success in gaining acceptance in all universities in Thailand and around the world. When necessary, transferring from TRIS to another school, college or university in Thailand or anywhere in the world is comparatively easy because of our advanced curriculum and accreditation status.

Licenses

TRIS has been licensed by ONESQA since 2003, and was the first school in Thailand authorized by the C.D.E. to implement the California Curriculum.
