All students are provided lockers for the safekeeping of their belongings. Students are urged to label all clothing and personal property with their name. In the event that they lose an item, they should check the Lost and Found Box in the office. Any unclaimed articles are donated to charity at the end of each month.
TRIS is a welcoming community, and visitors are accordingly invited on campus at any time. Our first priority, however, is always the safety and well-being of our students, so we have firm security policies in place. Visitors should present themselves to the security officer at the gate and state their business. At this time, guests will receive a visitor’s badge and will be escorted to the Administration Office for assistance. The visitor’s badge should be worn at all times during the visit.
Parents of TRIS students are always welcome on campus to attend chapel programs and visit with teachers before or after school. TRIS parents are registered with the security team doring the registration process and receive a thumb scan. From time to time, teachers may request parents and guests to participate in class activities. Because the presence of persons other than regular students and teachers alters normal classroom operation, TRIS regulates such parent and guest visitation to classrooms. School festivals, field trips, and sports days also give parents and other family members an opportunity to participate in the campus activities at TRIS. If a school family has concerns about any aspect of their child’s educational program, it is best to first contact the teacher involved and work out with the teacher a plan to improve the situation. If the situation is not resolved after having worked with the teacher, the school family should contact the headmaster to seek additional help.
