The TRIS newsletter is published monthly, and it is both sent home with students and available online via the TRIS website. Parents are encouraged to read the newsletter carefully in order to be fully up to date on school events that have transpired as well as those which are still to come. More topical and immediate information is also available via the Daily Bulletin, which is written daily and announced to homerooms in the morning. This information is also available daily on the website. Both methods of communication are important tools in facilitating meaningful cooperation between the school and the families of TRIS.
The library provides a place for research, quiet study and reading, and it is open daily from 7:30 am.-16:30 pm. Students should take advantage of the opportunity to use the reference books, books for circulation, and other materials to contribute both to their educational development as well as to their personal reading enjoyment. All students are welcome to use the library and may borrow library materials, although they must of course exercise care in handling them. More complete information regarding library use may be found in the Student-Parent Handbook.
TRIS maintains an infirmary during school hours. A nurse is on campus in the event of an accident or illness. Any child with a temperature over 100 F or 37.8 C will be sent home for care by parents. Parents are asked to keep children at home if they have severe colds, undetermined rashes or spots, fever over 100 F, severe headache, pink eye, up set stomach, diarrhea, or any other symptoms of illness. In the event of an emergency, parents will be informed immediately, and students will be transported to Theptharin Hospital at Rama 4. All medications to be administered during the school day should be clearly labeled and delovered to the school office.
